*** NL TOP Weimaraner Competition ***
Since a couple of years we have in NL a 'TOP Weimaraner of the year' competition. It is about the best shorthair/longhair weimaraner in the show ring. Organized by the Dutch Weimclub and all members can participate. Only NL show results are included, and you need to participate in a minimum of 5 shows. Results are translated into points, and the weimaraner with the best average score wins.
2009: 2nd place TOP Weimaraner 2009
2010: 2nd place TOP Weimaraner 2010
2011: 1st place TOP Weimaraner 2011
Isn't that a nice 'farewell gift' from the show ring!!
My lovely boy is now retired from showing (something that isn't his favorite activity anyhow ). Hope we will continue in the future with a new addition to our family.
*** Tyler's CRUFTS results ***
What can we tell about CRUFTS , it's the world's largest dog show, every year held in Birmingham/UK. It began in 1891 and is now a 4 days show with over 100.000 visitors and thousands of dogs entered. The showground (the NEC in Birmingham) is simply overwhelming for the first time: you can easily get lost!!
As from 2008 we have visited CRUFTS and entered Tyler in one or more classes to compete. You need to qualify in order to compete at CRUFTS. In each country (outside the UK), there is only one show where dogs can get qualified. For NL it is the Winner Show in Amsterdam. Tyler got his CRUFTS qualification in Belgian/Brussels by winning the Junior Winner title in 2007. It has always been an honor to compete at CRUFTS, we have been doing very well and won the Working Class three years in a row (2009-2011).
